Is Australia building the lowest cost energy system?

Our energy ministers have time and time again promised Australians lower energy bills as a direct result of flooding the system with “cheap renewables”. But a Senate inquiry into energy planning and regulation has revealed that they have no idea what the lowest cost path to net zero actually is. Watch the video to see how the Integrated System Plan, which the energy ministers love to quote, is not the least cost pathway for our energy grid, but rather a plan for meeting government targets, no matter how unrealistic, unnecessary or expensive they may be.
