Nancy C. Jordan

Dr Nancy C. Jordanis the Dean Family Endowed Chair and Professor of Education at the University of Delaware. Her research centres on how children learn mathematics and why many struggle, particularly in early and middle childhood. Prof Jordan authored numerous highly cited articles, with recent work appearing in theJournal of Educational Psychology,Journal of Learning Disabilities,Developmental Psychology, and theJournal of Research on Mathematics Education, among others. She is a member of the US National Academy of Education and a Fellow of both the American Educational Research Association and the Association for Psychological Science. In 2020, she received the Kauffman-Hallahan-Pullin Distinguished Researcher Award in recognition of her contributions to the study of mathematics learning difficulties and disabilities.
