Fiona Mueller

Born in Darwin, Fiona is a longstanding resident of regional Australia who has also lived in Europe, the Middle East, Asia and the United States. Twenty years of teaching foreign languages and English in primary and secondary schools established a solid foundation for policy work and the completion of a doctorate, followed by nine years at two universities.

Dr Mueller’s extensive practical experience led to her appointment as Head of ANU College at the Australian National University and then Director of Curriculum at the Australian Curriculum, Assessment and Reporting Authority (ACARA) in Sydney. In 2019, the Australian Financial Review’s Power Issue placed her among the top five most influential people in education.
